The packaging for the premium gin The Gates has won the prestigious Red Dot Design Award 2025 in the Packaging Design category. This internationally recognized project comes from the region, and FF Print from Novi Sad had the honor of contributing to its realization through the production of the packaging box at the highest level of craftsmanship.

Design Inspired by the Sea and the Kvarner Tradition
The design is signed by Veronika Uravić Čolak, graduated designer and art director at Reedesign Studio from Rijeka. The The Gates brand draws inspiration from the maritime identity of the city of Rijeka — a place where land and sea meet, and where passages between islands and the mainland have long symbolized freedom, trade, and connection.
The packaging reflects this spirit through an elegant black base, luxurious Cotton Black paper, and copper foil stamping that evokes the colors of sunset over the sea. The back of the box features a stylized map of the Kvarner Bay, while the bottle neck is adorned with a detail made of natural rope — a subtle homage to sails and maritime heritage.

The box production was carried out by FF Print from Novi Sad, renowned for its high precision, innovative approach, and impeccable finishing quality.
The label was produced by Etikgraf from Istria, bringing together the best of Croatia and Serbia in a unique example of outstanding regional collaboration.
